Sri Lanka

Seafood by SDC

At SDC Fresh Seafood, we proudly showcase the rich marine heritage of Sri Lanka through our premium seafood exports. Sourced directly from the pristine waters surrounding the island, our Sri Lankan seafood is known for its exceptional freshness, flavor, and quality.

We work closely with responsible local fisheries and coastal communities to ensure each catch meets international standards while promoting sustainable fishing practices. From tuna, swordfish, and exotic fish to a variety of crustaceans and molluscs, our seafood is carefully selected, processed, and packaged at our FOS-certified facility to preserve its natural excellence.

With SDC Fresh Seafood, you’re not just importing seafood – you’re experiencing the true taste of Sri Lanka’s ocean bounty.

Quality Control Summary

SDC Fresh Seafood follows strict quality control procedures to ensure food safety, compliance with buyer specifications, and regulatory standards.

Raw Material Inspection

Each seafood batch is checked for proper chilling, sensory quality (appearance, odor, texture), and specific tests such as histamine levels in tuna and parasite inspection.

In-Process Controls

Processing areas are maintained below 18°C. Quality checks include portion weight accuracy, visual defects, and microbiological sampling at critical points.

Final Product Control

Packaging is checked for seal integrity, accurate labeling, and storage. Random samples undergo lab testing, and products are kept at 0–4°C to maintain optimal freshness.
